We are a seeking a Capture Manager with specific DoD Industry experience to identify and capture new business opportunities across Government Agencies and implement an aggressive company growth and win strategy. The person in this role will own the capture management process.  This person will work with executive management and Operational Directors to align with the company's growth and win strategy. Working with Account managers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), this person will actively lead opportunities through the capture process while facilitating lessons learned and process improvements.


  • Develop capture strategy, planning, and execution for opportunities across and within multiple lines of business
  • Lead the capture management process for opportunities from initial identification through proposal submission
  • Manage win theme development, pricing strategy, stakeholder analysis, GWAC strategy, competitive analysis process, SWOT analysis process, and opportunity prioritization methodology
  • Manage actionable activities and steps to advance opportunities, keep them on track, and positioned to win
  • Work with Operational Directors, Account Managers, and SMEs to grow existing contracts and task orders
  • Identify new opportunities that align with TACG core capabilities and strategic plan
  • Manage the opportunities pipeline and ensure it is current and limited to only actionable, high-win opportunities
  • Develop and maintain strategic interpersonal relationships with key customers
  • Attend customer industry days, symposia, and conferences
  • Evaluate and maintain partner relationships and develop strong teaming strategies
  • Plan and participate in capture activities, including opportunity gate reviews, black hat sessions, collaboration and workshop sessions, and proposal reviews
  • Lead competitive assessments
  • Work with pricing team on price-to-win strategies
  • Integrate capture information into formal and proprietary documents, including RFI’s, sources sought, data calls, and final proposals 


  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree and at least ten (10) years of related experience
  • Required Knowledge/Experience:
    • Ten plus (10+) years of related acquisition, business development and capture experience in the DoD Industry
    • Versatility, leadership skills, and initiative to identify new business opportunities and move captures from initiation to proposal to transition
    • Strong interpersonal skills - oral, written, and listening
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, SharePoint, Internet research, and proposal automation applications
    • Demonstrated experience identifying, qualifying, and winning business
    • Ability to shape customer requirements and make solution recommendations
    • Ability to work across technical, business development, and support functions within a company to develop a winning proposal
    • Ability to manage multiple work streams/projects and respond promptly to tight deadlines
    • Strong attention to detail and personal accountability for high-quality deliverables
    • Ability to engage and motivate a diverse group of consultants, subject matter experts, and subcontractors, and vendors
  • Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
    • Familiarity with Government Wide Acquisition Contracts (GWACs)
    • Experience working US Air Force opportunities 
    • Familiar working with an array of Federal Government Agency, State and Local, and Commercial customers is a plus
    • Experience writing technical, management, past performance, and other proposal related content
    • Shipley Proposal process experience / certification is a plus
    • PMP and/or ITIL certification is a plus
