We are seeking an Enterprise Architect (EA) to support of Air Force’s Digital Transformation System Implementation Initiatives.  This includes helping the Air Force’s Integrated Personnel and Payroll System (AFIPPS) Program with the development of architectural artifacts, requirements management, regulation and policy compliance, and the achievement of full operating capability.

Responsibilities

  • Review architecture to help ensure compliance with Air Force IT policies and initiatives; the Clinger-Cohen Act and the Office of Management and Budget policies 
  • Develop an AFIPPS governance model and identify organizational relationships and hierarchy structures   
  • Update legacy architecture to ensure that users have efficient usage and improved user experience, while keeping "seamlessness" between platforms 
  • Create and update EA governing documentation to guide in the review and approval of architectural content for inclusion in the production environment 
  • Develop and maintain future state architectural views for the Air Force Human Resources and Financial Management Operations 
  • Participate in change management and reengineering reviews and working groups 
  • Support requirements management and governance to include the traceability of requirements to future technology 
  • Help review and ensure that the system implementor’s design maps to and satisfies business requirements 
  • Manage Agile SCRUM framework for AFIPPS tools integration 
  • Assist with the migration of data from the legacy requirements management tool to the next generation tool 
  • Help strategize and plan for the Initial Operating Capability (IOC) and Full Operating Capability (FOC) rollout milestones and subsequent sustainment of the AFIPPS platform    

Qualifications

  • Education: 
    • Must have a Bachelor’s degree
  • Required Knowledge/Experience: 
    • Must have seven (7) years’ experience or an advanced degree can substitute for two (2) years’ experience
    • Scrum Master Experience 
    • Familiar with DoDAF Frameworks 
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills  
    • Excellent collaboration skills  
    • Excellent organizational skills and strong attention to detail 
    • Ability to prioritize duties based on shifting demands 
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills 
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite 
  • Required Clearance:
    • Active Secret Clearance
  • Physical Requirements: 
    • Must be able to work a 40-hour week using a computer

  • Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of the department/contract
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Must comply with all federal COVID-19 related vaccination and testing requirements, including, but not limited to, those set out in Executive Order 14042
