TACG is seeking a Maintenance Analyst to perform job functions typical to a Department of the Air Force (DAF) GS-0343.   This role will join a team that serves as staff analysts, evaluators, and advisors to management on the effectiveness and efficiency with which agencies and their components carry out their assigned programs and functions. The primary purpose of the work is to provide objectively based information for making decisions on the administrative and programmatic aspects of agency operations and management.

This position reports to the Program Manager and is located in Arlington, Virginia.

• Analyze and evaluate (on a quantitative or qualitative basis) the effectiveness of line program operations in meeting established goals and objectives
• Develop life cycle cost analyses of projects or performing cost benefit or economic evaluations of current or projected programs
• Advise on the distribution of work among positions and organizations and the appropriate staffing levels and skills mix
• Advise on the potential benefits/uses of automation to improve the efficiency of administrative support or program operations
• Evaluate and advise on the organization, methods, and procedures for providing administrative support systems such as records, communications, directives, forms, files, and documentation
• Research and investigate new or improved business and management practices for application to agency programs or operations
• Analyze management information requirements to develop program or administrative reporting systems including the systems specifications, data gathering and analytical techniques, and systems evaluation methodology
• Identify data required for use in the management and direction of programs
• Develop data required for use in the management and direction of programs
• Develop management and/or program evaluation plans, procedures, and methodology

• Education:
  • Four (4) year degree preferred
• Required Knowledge/Experience:
  • Ten (10) years of broad/diverse background and experience in Air Force Depot Maintenance or base-level maintenance
  • Detailed technical knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in C-17 aircraft repair, overhaul, modification, and programmed depot maintenance and production experience
  • Data integrity team program experience to include, but not limited to the prescribed analyst experience and capabilities
  • Detailed technical knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience with G081 and REMIS or an equivalent MIS
  • Ability to employ objective, scientific analytical and statistical research and analysis to ensure data accuracy in reports
  • Experience researching technical orders to determine correct maintenance data codes and work unit codes to ensure all maintenance accurately reflects all repair completed on a C-17 aircraft
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, Teams, Project, and Access
  • Use a variety of methods and procedures to develop formulas, models, filters, charts, reports, training modules, and briefings for USAF senior leaders
  • USAF field-level experience with AFTO Form 781s or similar aircrew/mission flight documentation
  • AF Depot Maintenance Management Information Systems
  • REMIS and G081
  • Strong presentation and relationship building skills
• Preferred Knowledge/Experience:
  • Department of Defense or Air Force supply chain management / logistics functional knowledge
• Required Clearance:
  • Active Secret Security Clearance

• Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of the department/contract
• Perform other duties as assigned
